Before diving into our featured guests, here’s a bit about Dan and Joy and their journey into podcasting:

 

Joy Adler

An accomplished leader in holistic health and healing with over three decades of experience, Joy founded Alternative Healing Arts in 1993. Her work integrates psychology, energy healing, counseling, and the arts to help people overcome trauma, find well-being, and live their Master Destiny. As an award-winning singer-songwriter and sound healer, she brings the power of music into her healing practices. Joy’s spiritual journey has been shaped by training with Native American Shamans and Medicine Women, who helped her reclaim her voice and deepen her spiritual path, and life mission.

 

Currently, Joy serves as the Dean of both the Advanced Studies program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing Science in Florida and the New York branch, where she mentors the next generation of healers. Joy leads The Souls of Evolution, a musical group dedicated to healing events and albums. Annually she leads spiritual retreats at sacred sites across Europe. Her work draws on a background in energy healing, shamanic practices, sound therapy, and education, creating transformative experiences through music and teaching.

 

Beyond her healing practice, Joy has shared my insights through workshops, her writings, and workbooks, and six music albums. She began her career in mass media as a television anchor for a holistic news program in 1997, expanding to cable TV shows, radio segments on music for healing, and numerous podcast appearances. Joy is a graduate of Brennan, Yoga Teacher Training, Core Energetics, Ayurvedic School, Pastoral Counseling, and holds a degree in Mass Media Communications from The Sage Colleges.

 

Joy Adler was honored to have received two lifetime achievement awards and looks forward to co-hosting this podcast with Dan Zavadil, where they. will explore the intersection of music, healing, and holistic health.

 

Dan Zavadil

A lifelong musician, Dan discovered early on that music was his gateway to connecting with others. He began with classical piano as a child before moving on to electric bass in his teenage years. While studying at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, he recorded his first album and performed on the Hollywood club circuit. Returning to New York, he continued his musical journey by co-writing, recording two albums, and touring with his band.

 

As Dan’s family grew, he shifted focus to massage therapy, finding a deeper connection to people through touch and healing. During his training, he took Joy Adler’s Wellness and Emotional Growth class, where he witnessed the power of using creative gifts for healing. This experience led him in teaching in the Energy Diagnostics program as well as Wellness, and helped launch the first teleclass in 2015 with Joy.

 

Years of massage practice and teaching enriched his perspective, ultimately calling him back to music. He resumed performing, recording several albums, and toured across the U.S., supporting artists who gained recognition on the Billboard Charts, MTV, and other major media. Now, as co-host of the Energy Diagnostics Podcast with Joy, he is excited to merge his passion for music with the insights he’s gained in healing. Together, they aim to provide their listeners with practical tools and wisdom from top experts in music, holistic health and wellness.
