Upon arrival at Heathrow Airport the group will be met by a local assistant who will help you transfer to your coach. From here we will travel to the quaint town of Oxford, where you will have a guided tour of Bodleian Library and Radcliffe Camera. Afterwards we'll visit Christ Cathedral (depending on your arrival at Heathrow Airport in London), a local guide will meet us and a private coach will drive us to the rich, unique, historical city of Oxford in Oxfordshire on the River Thames. A seat of learning since the 12th century, the “Dreaming Spires” of Oxford University are stunning in
their architectural magnificence. We will have a guided tour of the iconic Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe and The circular Radcliffe Camera, its shrine to books. Depending on time, we will also visit the medieval Christ Church Cathedral - stunning in its tall, gothic presence and also the original Hogwarts Dining Hall at Harry Potter’s famous magical school. Afterwards, you’ll be free to potter around the many lanes and tiny streets of Oxford and take in the uniqueness of this very special place. We will stay in the lovely Jury’s Inn in Oxford for this night.
Monday, August 31:
After a big breakfast in our Hotel, our group will head to the quaint village of Lacock to pay a visit to the very famous ruins of beautiful Lacock Abbey and have our sacred ceremonial opening to our Dancing Souls tour. Later, we will explore the charm of Lacock Village and lunch as we please before heading southwest to the wild, majestic and rugged coast of Cornwall, where King Arthur and Merlin roamed. We will dine together in Camelot Castle Hotel and stay in its quiet luxury for two nights.
Day 3, Sept 1:
In the morning after breakfast, the group will have a full day in Tintagel. You will visit Tintagel Castle and Merlin’s Cave. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the King Arthur legends and we will visit the mythical Merlin’s Cave down by the edge of the sea. Afterwards, we will walk in fairy woods to a holy well where we will again come together in ritual. There will be free time too to roam and explore and dine where you please.
Day 4, Sept 2:
Today, we will follow the Holy Grail legends to the Isle of Avalon. We will visit the celebrated Glastonbury Abbey ruins to stand in the place of legend - the Lady Chapel where King Arthur and Queen Guinivere reportedly lie. We will also visit the medieval chapel of St. Margaret with its deep connection to Mary Magdalene. We will spend the afternoon exploring the numerous magical, new age and spiritual shops in Glastonbury or visit some of the numerous galleries the town offers. Afterwards, we will drive to the lovely town of Wells where we will rest our heads for four nights. In the evenings, we will be on the lookout for local traditional music sessions where we can sing and play to our hearts’ content.
Day 5, Sept 3:
We will head back to the magical town of Glastonbury where we will pilgrimage to the mysterious Glastonbury Tor, one of the most sacred sites in all of England, where the legends of Avalon live large in heart and mind. We will visit The Chalice Well where The Holy Grail itself is reputed to have been placed and where the red waters are said to have sacred healing properties. We will also visit the nearby White Spring with its different sacred waters.
Day 6, Sept 4:
We will visit the mysterious Avebury, an ancient sacred landscape of giant stone circles and stone-lined Avenues. In ritual, we will enter the mythical and receive the ancient wisdom of the stone circles. You will leave this area forever transformed by touching the ancient sacred rocks and letting the winds of legend whisper to your soul. Later, we will have free time in Wells to rest, dine, play music or sing wherever we please.
Day 7, Sept 5: We will spend much of the day in awe at the mystery and majesty of prehistoric, megalithic Stonehenge and its surrounding sacred landscape. We will hire a local guide to bring us off the beaten track so we may be fully immersed in the quiet wonder of this ancient, magical place. Filled with mystery, magic and the marvelous, we will dine together on our last night in Wells.
